The “Bottega”

THE STORY

OVER 50 YEARS WITH THE HANDS IN THE DOUGH

THE BEGINNINGS

It was in 1964 when the Ferrara-native Angela and Dante Gamberoni, decided to open a small artisan shop selling fresh pasta in the heart of Tor Pignattara, a working class neighbourhood in Rome. The ‘bottega’ soon becomes a landmark in the neighbourhood and not only.

Here is where the story begins.

THE ‘BOTTEGA’ TODAY

From Grandma Angela’s masterly hands, the tradition was carried on first by her son Guido and then by the grandson Tony, currently the master pasta maker of the ‘bottega’. With the arrival of Tony and his ideas, the product was renovated but preserved intact the authenticity of the ancient recipes of the ancestors. Essential are in fact the seasonality of the ingredients, it’s their amazing quality that makes our pasta unique.

EVERYBODY’S ‘BOTTEGA’

The same way Paola, Tony and Elisa have learned the craft from their grandparents and parents, one of the goals is to relay the secrets of this wonderful art to the future generations. Since now over 10 years, the Gamberoni family are striving to organize internships for girls and boys from the Hospitality Institutes. Sharing the knowledge of an antique artisan craft, to convey the passion for fresh pasta.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity of savouring our products!
